Gerberstube - Tisch reservieren

I recently had dinner with my wife here and I have to say that the food was just outstanding. I tried the veal liver dish and it was one of the best I have ever had. My wife tried a fish dish that was also outstanding. Food flavors presentation presentation at the level of any famous restaurant and the ambiance is relaxing. The restaurant clientele tend to be more formal (at least inside) giving the place a formal touch. They have a set of bells hanging from the ceiling that play every hr giving the place a nice touch and a topic for conversation. The service was good but it was not necessarily out of the world (typical Swiss restaurant although the restaurant is Italian). I had to call waiter all the time. They do not come by to check on you as often as they should. Many times the servers walked by me without establishing eye contact which prevented from ordering a replacement drink. If they improve on this they could be a 5-star restaurant. Other than that, you will not go wrong.
