Wir haben unsere Zeit am Weisshorn sehr genossen. Es dauert zwei Gondelfahrten, um hierher zu gelangen (es sei denn, man geht zu Fuß). Die Ausblicke sind einfach traumhaft. Das Restaurant ist ziemlich groß und bietet einen 360-Grad-Blick, das Personal war freundlich.
Very nice restaurant and good service but the main draw here is of course the stunning mountain views. The food itself was just ok, nothing spectacular. Nice place to spend an hour relaxing.
Bin gekommen, um mir die 360-Grad-Ansicht anzuschauen, wow. Die Speisekarte wirkte etwas feinschmeckerischer als in den meisten Bergrestaurants und das Essen war gut, es gibt hier keine Selbstbedienung. Wir hatten das Schweineschnitzel im Speckmantel mit Pommes Frites und einer seltsamen Pilzsoße, was das Gericht enttäuschte.
Come for the view, stay for the food! We lucked into a crystal clear spring day, and apparently one where the staff was in a good mood. Service was fine and the food and wine excellent. Venison sausage and Swiss white wine. It was was fun being around a couple of big groups of skiers, obviously having a great time at the end of the season. We took the halfway back winter walk down and it was just spectacular. This was all well worth the time and trip up on the train from Chur for a wonderful day.
I tried once again my luck after the terrible experience last time. Unfortunately no luck again and I believe I will not return to see if things have improved. First of all the atmosphere of this place is completely out of tune, you feel you are in the airport lounge of a large city, for example Dubai. Secondly - the staff was unbelieveable incompetent and rude, when I ordered my latte and a gipfeli I had to wait for at least 20 minutes. With 4 other guests in the whole restaurant and at least 3 or 4 staff. When I politely enquired about it, the waiter replied very irritated it was coming soon. I honestly can see that i asked very friendly. When i tried to pay i was referred again to another staff member - who was not around - and we had to wait again, whilst the other staff members where just idling and hanging around. The coffee was standard, nothing special and the gipeli was ok. The place is definitely in my view managed by incompetent and people who are not interested. Will not go again
Probably they trade on the fact that they are the only restaurant here and the view is magnificent. The service was very poor and the prices very expensive. So only had coffees and hit chocolate which was very ordinary but expensive. Virtually had to beg someone to come and serve us and even worse finding someone to pay and they were not busy.
Terrible service. Even a coffee when the place was empty was a challenge. Enjoy but at your peril A few comfy chairs too.
The food was not fresh, it took the staff 1 hour to serve use, and when I ordered a coffee it took them 20 minutes to bring it out, and the price off the food was way to high and not worth it, i personal would give this restaurant a 1/10. Next time I would look for an alternative instead of coming back here.
