we had organized a family dinner in this traditional restaurant in the heart of the old shawl town, very close to the different tourist attractions. We were given a friendly and warm welcome, the children were welcome. the menu arranged in advance was very well, the generous portions with the use of quality ingredients. the service was coming without ever being invaded. we stayed in the base hotel to which this restaurant belongs. we can only recommend and sperber bar and the hotel basel for a stay where a family holiday to be enjoyed.

in the sperber one is among itself. you know hints and kunz, as well as the friendly and amusing staff!Wunderable eating, what you only very much welcome also in the summer for the small happen between dirch as for example the super occupied brötli!
The company is a soucasti hotel basel. hezke vjbaveni and the countryside is very nice. kava could be glued
we also enjoyed fine eating the set, cheerful service. the various lunches consisted leberli with rösti, tartar, burger and the perlhuhn as well as the appetizer be it salat or morchelterrine were fine. everything was served correctly, without the guest attendeee writing something, that impressed us. the ambiente was very pleasant with a seating with enough space between the tables.
This place is worth a visit, as you can find within the same location 2 restaurants (Sperber with its typical swiss dining room, all in wood) and the Brasserie Steiger with fine cuisine set into a modern decoration. You may enjoy as well their Terrace (which they call Boulevard)You can also enjoy their Hotel Basel! Great place with a warm atmosphere and well educated friendly staff! I did like their wide range of wine content, see the photo.

We were staying at the Hotel Basel but had to walk around the town extensively to discover one of the best restaurants was right at our hotel. We were seated on the terrace which was cut off from the street with nice plants. I had a dinner special of trout with vegetables and potatoes. My husband had the fried perch. Both meals were large portions. My trout and potatoes were absolutely delicious. The fried perch was cooked perfectly and was tasty. We loved the atmosphere of the terrace and would recommend having dinner there.
