Es gehört zu den Top 5 Restaurants mit dem leckersten Fleisch, das ich je gegessen habe. Es besticht durch sein exzellentes Menü und seinen Service in einer wunderbaren Umgebung etwas außerhalb der Stadt. Ein Ort, den man von Zeit zu Zeit verpassen sollte.
We go there regularly both for business and privately. Nice country location. You always get a table without any reservation though it can be a bit crowded during dinner time. There should be large bottles of mineral water available which is a must...these days where drinking and driving do not match!
The host/maitre d’ actually said that! We are a family of 5 with 3 small kids under 9 years old. We ordered steaks, the kids’ menus for each of the kids and drinks for each of us. We were shocked when we started eating how...salty everything was especially for the kids. The kids are but of course had finished their drinks quickly because of the salt. We didn’t want to complain at that point but had asked for tap water for the kids since we were surprised that the quality of the food had deteriorated so much since the last time we were there we didn’t want to pay another 3 euros each for small bottles of water. The waiter said they were not allowed to because of their boss. My husband couldn’t believe it so he went to go talk to the boss, the host/maitre d’ and the host said that they are successful on volume and that they would not change policy because they don’t need to (he also knew that the legislature here is considering making water obligatory in restaurants). It was then when he actually said that their restaurant was like McDonalds volume. Wow! When you pay about 35€ for a steak with a side, then about 15€ for drinks per person, it is definitely not McDonald’s. It is a real pity because this place was much better before. The steaks are still good I’ll give them that. But the sides are terrible! 5€ for a small bowl of overlooked and over salted bell peppers, over salted French fries, over salted Salad dressing and meat my kids could not chew through. Oh, and when my husband asked where their red wine came from, the waiter said Mosel! shocking because there is no red wine from the Mosel! In fact the host even confirmed it was totally wrong that the red wine did not come from the Mosel. What happened?!? It seems like the going got too good and they got a lot of business and great reviews so they are now cutting quality and service thinking they can still generate the McDonalds volume. Well, at least not with our family and we will make sure we spread the word that it is definitely NOT worth going there anymore. What a shame.
Wir waren dort mit Freunden der Familie und waren überrascht, dieses Restaurant an einer viel befahrenen Straße zu besuchen, aber von innen ruhig. Eine angenehme Atmosphäre und es ist sehr überraschend, gleich beim Betreten des Restaurants den Metzger zu finden, der Ihnen Ihr Stück Fleisch aussuchen kann. Ziemlich groß, was die Anzahl der Sitzplätze betrifft, daher müssen Sie wissen, welchen Tisch Sie bestellen müssen, wenn Sie es genießen möchten der Blick auf das schöne Tal neben dem Restaurant. Ausgezeichnete Speisekarte und Essen, enttäuschende Auswahl an Hausweinen, während die Weinkarte genügend gute Weine bietet, wenn Sie Zeit und Interesse haben, eine volle Flasche zu trinken.
Wir waren an unserem ersten Urlaubstag hier, das Essen war köstlich, aber teuer, fast 80 € für zwei Steakgerichte und ein paar Getränke. Die Salatbar ist großartig, es gibt eine große Auswahl, die uns sehr gefallen hat, Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien mit einer großartigen Aussicht auf das Tal. Wir können dieses Lokal aufgrund der Qualität des Essens empfehlen, nicht wegen der Preise.
Great value for money. Go for the 600 gram specialty steak and the lamb de Provence. If these flavours are too strong for you, get the veal saddle. Do tell them how you want it cooked, they sometimes forget to ask.
I 've been coming here for about 25 years. So far I have never been disappointed with either the food, service or setting. The restaurant is quite large lots of tables on many levels and, nice to say, not packed in like sardines. The...steaks are top quality I was told they produce the meat themselves and the desserts, if you still have room, are very good. The menu, which has remained virtually unchanged since I can remember, is quite wide ranging; covering mostly beef, but also lamb, pork and poultry. Well, if it ain 't broke, don 't fix it . The only criticism I have is that drinks are small and quite expensive.
Business meeting today and had the house steak that was a t bone plus. One of the best steaks i have had a amazing veiw. Make sure you sit outside and not in side Try the small salad it's massive and amazing
