A unique boutique hotel with a special restaurant. Fresh and organic products and romantic garden with swimming pool. Every room is decorated in a thematic style.
After exploring this historical city, an ideal place to relax and enjoy both tasty cakes and ice cream as well as a magnificent garden with the gothic cathedral in the background (with, unfortunately, a monster of a modern bridge in between).
My wife and I had a delicious dinner at this cosy restaurant. The set evening menu was excellent (very fresh and from the Region, lovely dessert) and there is a nice and reasonably priced wine list. The young staff is very charming and professionel. We had a great evening! Must be one of the best restaurants in Fribourg because it was fully booked that Friday evening (I recommend a table booking in advance. Please note the restaurant is closed on Tuesday & Wednesday)
Situated in a beautiful park this restaurant offers delicious seasonal food. As it is seasonal the menu card is not extremly long, but offers a good selection of local organic food.
The restaurant is very simple but the quality of food and of the service are extremely good...limited staff to serve (only two), but they handle it well. The location is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but the quality /price ratio is extremely good. Unfortunately we can not say of the rooms, which are yes, extremely original, but a bit old and a bit expensive for what you get. Be sure to have heating and warm water which was not our case the morning we had to leave!
They offer a fantastic Sunday brunch. The grounds are beautiful and include interesting sculptures... great for a stroll after stuffing yourself. Check out the "ouside bathtub", visible from the back yard.
The welcome may be a little vague and the service, kind but unprofessionnal but that does not matter. The food is lovely, the place also, the garden and the view stupendous. Try and sleep one night, the brunch is also great.
Great place to relax. You can even play "Petanque" there. The garden is big, and you can move chairs and tables wherever you want.
