A group of about 6 of us went to a dinner on Thursday at the beginning of the historic Motor Racing Weekend at Hockenheim Ring (The Jim Clark Memorial). We all started with the asparagus soup. Luckily it was lovely. The most important courses are not so good. My carving was very overcooked and the chips too. The consensus of the opinion was that if one stayed from fried food, it was acceptable. What was not acceptable was the service. The waitress was extremely charming, but the place was materially understated. We arrived at 8 a.m. and our orders were not accepted until 8.30. We finished our main course at 10 a.m. (we didn't eat slowly) and were then told that we couldn't have a dessert because the kitchen was closed! Would I go back there? I don't think so.
Sehr liebevoll renoviertes Haus mit gemütlichem Interieur. Gutes Essen zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Die regelmäßigen DINER Events sind sehr beliebt. Besonders empfehlenswert ist der Mittagstisch. Jeden Tag werden 2 verschiedene Mittagessen bei 5,90 Eur angeboten. (Heute z.B.: Rollbögen mit Nudeln und Bauernomeletts mit Salat). Das Essen ist schnell reserviert und auch für eine kurze Mittagspause geeignet.

Found this little jewel on the way back from the race track through the city back to the campsite. Part of a group of 8 friends, but the staff always made us find room, ate to two occasions and had a few beers on the other, staff very friendly and food was always excellent, no one was disappointed, in fact all comments where very positive.
