We just park beside and decide to have lunch there without any expectation just to have a proper meal. To our big surprise we got there one of the best veal liver with RÖSTI that I have eaten in Switzerland. My company had delicious Riz Casimir with curry sauce that was exactly as in India. It was two hours driving to see the wonderful houses of this village, but we mostly enjoy the meal. and they even have a toilet for people in wheelchair !!!!
We stayed here more than once for lunch, while driving through the region. At first it was a surprise. It is worth the detour! The house itself is old looking, but in a stylish way. The outdoor seating are great in warm weather, as you are in the center of a crossroads of a very small country village, and you can watch its own livelihood while eating, such as tractors going about their business and stuff. Very romantic in a way. As for the food, this place has some hidden gems, besides the usual daily special (Tagesmenu). They serve many different cordon bleu, each more spectacular than the next. Some appear really strange when read on the menu, but I can assure you that the chef is no fool: he knows what is good for you! Only downside is, they don't serve these cordon bleu outside of the main business hours, so if you come late, you will have to settle for something else from the menu.
