Stopped here in way to the Saturday performance of Dee Vogel handler. It's busy very difficult to get a table in the inner outside area but fine fir inside or in the main square. The town is famous for the storks living in the chimneys and boy they and the square are truly lovely. Anyway the red wine was served chilled - a bit odd but nice. The service was perfunctory. The food was a little disappointing. We won't be back next year.
Great food, great service, and great place. Marillenknoedln are a must! Nice wine also. A wonderful atmosphere for a very good meal and relaxing time in a warm cozy place. You will love it!
I have rarely met people who hate their job so much as the waiters at this place. They were outright rude, telling me that I should not ask them stuff since everything is written in the menu. I would not recommend this place.
We had good food. The outdoor dining area is great. The prices inexpensive. Since our German language skills are few, we were given menus in English.
The place is located in the heart of Rust. The staff is nice and they serve traditional local food. The prices are moderate. (They don't serve beer, and I wouldn't recommend the wines.)
A well located restaurant. We sat at a table near the courtyard entrance. This was much brighter and attractive than the main seating under cover. The service was good and we started with a salad followed by chanterelle tagliatelli. We drank the local sturm, a lightly fermented grape juice, it looks and tastes like a good cloudy homemade lemonade with a grape flavour, it is served in a small glass tankard. Beware although only around 4%, it is too easy to think you are drinking lemonade and it is very moreish. It is only available for a short period after the grape harvest.
Very nice place for eating. You can choose to be outside in garden or inside in stylish room. We tasted local wine which was very tasty and fresh. Service very fast and offer of food quite simple but full of local specialties. Enjoy it!
We enjoyed salads, smoked eel and fresh local fish for dinner in the cozy courtyard of this local restaurant. The town is nesting place for families of pelicans -- and you can see several nests on the rooftops. Come for the pelicans and enjoy the lovely local food. Nothing fancy, but fresh food served efficiently at a very reasonable price. What more can you ask?
