Had a quick lunch here when we got to town and it was wonderful. Wish I could have bought all the antiques and shipped them home. What a cute little store slash restaurant. Would love to come back and have a bigger meal.
We enjoyed very our Lunch of their Day Menu, the food's tasty and with reasonable price. Service very friendly and attentive. What I love most is the coziness, it was a lovely welcome coming inside where it was warm and the decorations are old fashioned...More
We went as a family for vacation- the hostess was great. She seated our large group with no problem, and treated us as as a festive family gathering. We ordered several portions of the cheese platter with a side of meat; the selection was outstanding and the wine our hostess helped us pick perfectly complimented the food. Of note, we ordered in French, although I think our menus also had English descriptions. All in all, it was an excellent afternoon, and the food and staff made it all that much better!
A lovely funky place to sit down and have a drink. If you are interested in antiques, that's the place to go to in Murten.
You can walk through the café/restaurant and look at sooo many things to buy, even the chair you are sitting in.If you need a break, go and sit outside, enjoy the nice atmosphere of Murten/Morat, drink a tasty glass of wine and some tapas. Then have another look inside :).Recommendable and worth visiting!
We stopped in this delightfully quaint wine bar / curio shop. We needed a break and a drink.. We had a very pleasant bottle of white wine to relax with during a hot afternoon. It is an interesting place to stop.
Feels like sitting in your great-grandma living room, everything around you can be bought including lamps. The Brocante restaurant is warm and welcoming, once you sit down you want to stay forever. The menu is made of small dishes (of excellent quality) that go very well with many of proposed wines. A place to visit if you're in or around Murten.
This small restaurant in the heart of Murten is more like curio shop than your usual eating establishment. As its name suggests, it does serve cheese platters but also various dried meats and hams - delicious. But also everything else in the restaurant is for sale if you want to make an offer!The service is good and it is a popular venue so probably best to book in advance if you can. Murten itself is a very attractive town so you can spend time wandering about and exploring the surroundings as well.
