We traveled as group of 3 friends to Salzburg last month. After having survived on burgers and having tried another Indian restaurant located on the sides of the Salzach river near the bridge, we were still craving for an authentic Indian taste. We were fortunately staying at a private house which was close to this eye-catching Kathmandu Restaurant with all simplicity and humility-just like the folks from the Himalayan Kingdom.The restaurant was beautifully done with all Nepali theme. We could feel the warmth of the Himalayas in Europe. Our order was customized as per our taste (we like spicy hot food) and when it came steaming hot to our table, we realized that not only it looked appealing, but the portions too were good enough. The food was finger licking good and had authentic Indian taste to it. We were satisfied to the belly and heart :) and would 100% recommend Kathmandu Restaurant to anyone who is travelling to Sazlburg and willing to try or are craving for real Indian food.
Absolutely shocking behaviour of the owner. When requested to get us our drinks a bit sooner after waiting for more than 40 minutes he was very rude. When we finally got our drinks , we were told they have no ice!The food took exceptionally long to process our order and when we inquired about what was taking so long, we were very rudely told that we were welcome to go to Mc Donalds.The owner was aggressive, rude, and very ill equipped to process the orders. It was a terrible experience. We went based on trip advisor reviews but we were extremely disappointed with the attitude of the owners.
Kathmandu Restaurant and Bar served good authentic indian food. The restaurant is close to the Salzach river. The restaurant had a nepalese feeling to it. The food great and was not very highly priced. I would recommend visiting here for good indian food
This has to be one of the best indian meals I have ever had. Serve indian and nepalese food. Very tasty without being fatty. Well presented. Staff very polite and friendly and offered advice. Well worth a visit.
