The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant for a late dinner - our first night in Vienna. Located in a lovely, non-touristy neighborhood. It was a warm night and we decided to eat outside, which was a good decision. My wife had a traditional Austrian chicken dish, which she loved. I had a beef dish that was excellent. Very good wine recommendation by the server. In short, we had a lovely meal and I very much recommend this restaurant.

Very nice and typical location. Mostly people from the area; not touristic. Service great - food just excellent! I would recommend it to anyone looking for some tasty traditional food in a beautiful, but typical Gasthaus.

Have discovered this restaurant on a fine sunny afternoon after visiting the Sigmund Freud Museum nearby. The overall dinning experience was great to say the least, it seems like a weekend catch-up place for the locals. We ordered some kind of butter-carrots-lemon-ish soup for starters, followed by the fresh-fried-chicken dish and meat dumplings as the main course, with the white wine went with it. Food alone is excellent-its presentation, textures, and tastes are second to none. Please note that: it might be a slight element of favouritism to this statement given that we were pretty hungry at the time. Nevertheless, the whole dinning experience in this place will always be part of our fond memories of Vienna in 2016.

Hotel recommended this place for traditional Austrian cuisine, so we tried it and loved it! In a quiet, out-of-the-way neighborhood, and not an especially large restaurant, one of us had the tasting menu, while the other wanted Wiener Schnitzel and a mixed salad. The Tasting Menu had six items listed, of which you can order four, five, or all six. I ordered four, and could barely finish (and I am a big eater). This night, the four I ordered were marinated asparagus, asparagus soup, poached fish, and oxtail ravioli. All were excellent. The Wiener Schnitzel was very traditionally prepared, and very large. The wine list was mostly Austrian wines, so we had a Gruner Veltliner and a Zwiegelt by the glass, and these were excellent also. Couple this with the friendly, attentive service, and we had a wonderful experience.

Off track from main turistic area it is nice option if you are looking for traditional Vienna food albit a little bit too expensive . The service is exelkent and the dish were good. Most of the diners were locals but they fully support English speakers.

The restaurant was recommended by our hotel ! The satff were nice but the food was really average ! I asked for goulash and got a tastless stew ! Only the dessert had some quality !

This is a small friendly restaurant with a gemütlich feel to it. The service can be a little slow as when we were there there appeared to be only one waitress but the food came fairly quickly. Wienerschnitzel is very traditional with the meat beaten very thin and very big - so the proportion of meat to coating is rather low and to be honest we found the batter a bit on the heavy side. The rest of the meal was fine and the wines very good. The overall price is a touch on the high side and probably not especially good value if you go for the simpler options. It is a popular place for a business lunch and at its best for that.
