We were looking forward trying this place and generally enjoyed our evening there, although some points certainly weren't up to our expectations. Service was by a single (efficient but still... person and it seems that the kitchen was not much more populated... leading to excessive waiting time. Not terrible but certainly a weakness. More disappointing was our fish main, with a surprisingly thin and overcooked piece of turbot. This was clearly not on par with the hefty price of the dish. Starters and the mushroom dish were very good, no problem. Bread average, coffee good. Should do better to justify the bill.
The food is totally at par with the price for it, the deux potes running it are as great cooks as they are great to banter with, but the decor... ok, they stripped all chairs and tables and re-varnished them, great! But now (and hold on to something) they painted all the lovely woodwork!!!! Now wood on the walls is white! All central beams are now of the same colour as the blueish tint that’s on the anti-Covid masks!?!?!? I suggested a new name: Resto Covid. I’ll still go there as the food is simply too good to miss, but I guess I have to concentrate real hard and only on what’s on my plate...
I went to this restaurant three times already and it was always really good. The restaurant is located in the old district of Chêne-Bourg, the atmosphere is comfy and perfect for a winter diner. The food is really good with season product. the employee are nice and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Herausragendes Abendessen in entspannter Atmosphäre. Tische sind nicht zu nah an einer anderen. Wir hatten “Turbot” der Fisch war enorm und es war abosutely lecker, bevor wir Austern hatten. Sehr stark recomended für gute Lebensmittelliebhaber, die eine kuschelige Atmosphäre vermeiden wollen.
