Ahorn Gourmet Restaurant

We spent an amazing evening in the Ahorn restaurant! It is a really nice mix - in both ambience and menu - of a typical mountain restaurant with a 5 star hotel one. It is somehow relaxed and casual and refined at the same time. The starters and the main dishes were excellent. We were less impressed by the desserts (they were good though) but that's probably because by that time we were full to bursting due to the generous size of portions. The prices are a little bit higher than in most mountain restaurants, but they are adequate for this quality and portion size. The service was irreproachable and made us feel very welcome. We found the interior design of the restaurant very pleasant too: simple, elegant and cosy. Ah and of course, the view is splendid!

A group of us has just stayed at the Ahorn for 2 nights. What a special place! The service was just wonderful and the Ahorn team are a delight. We were all sad to leave and will highly recommend this little chalet hotel to all our friends. All our meals were totally delicious. The menu is inventive and seasonal. The ambience of both the chalets and restaurant was welcoming and warm. We all loved the cosy feel of the restaurant as well as the stunning view from the sun terrace and gardens. Even if you can't stay for a night, make sure you visit for lunch or dinner - you won't be disappointed. Thank you to all the Ahorn team for a really great stay!

Finally a great hotel anc restaurant in the wonderful, car-free town of Braunwald. Having watched its construction by helicopter during last summer, today i had the pleasure of having my first lunch at the Ahorn. And it won't be the last. The quality has been excellent, and the price absolutely reasonable. The architectural style absolutely fitting the little mountain town, and the view spectacular as ever. Definitely a hidden gem in the Swiss mountains, for the great joy of residents and tourists alike. Well done!

Das wahrscheinlich beste kulinarische Erlebnis im Kanton Glarus in einer verkehrsfreien Umgebung im magischen Braunwald. Idealer Ort für ein Familien- oder Freundestreffen, um sich zu entspannen und Schweizer kulinarische Köstlichkeiten sowie eine atemberaubende Aussicht auf das Tal und die Berge zu genießen. Hat jemand einen offenen Zweispännerschlitten?

Wir haben einen Tisch für vier Personen reserviert und das Vier-Gänge-Menü bestellt. Tatsächlich hätten drei Gänge gereicht, da jedes Gericht sehr reichhaltig ist. Besonders hervorzuheben war für mich der Apfel.
