Aki Japanese Buffet

I was very disappointed on the quality of the food at this place, is below average, the restaurant is very clean and the buffet presentation is good, the only downside is that the food quality and ingredients is below average, the sushi is bland, lacks protein inside and it's super basic to be the worse I have ever tried. They charge very little for the lunch buffet but to be honest the cheap price is not worth the quality of the ingredients used. The hot stations are questionable, food looks stale and unappealing. The service is average here, not bad just average, the atmosphere is also unappealing and they are in need of a new look. I have been coming here for years because they are close to my work place and works for a quick bite, but lately their food has degraded in quality to the point to make me decide not to come back here and write this review, is understandable that now a days everything cost more, but trying to cut cost in an already low quality menu had been disastrous for this place. I would not be coming back.

First time coming with 3 friends for a lunch special all hot food was cold, the sticky rice in the sushi was a little stale, everything with salmon had a very fishy taste as if not fresh, we even gave the desserts a try! Guess what? stale. All of the staff was sitting behind the work stations on their phones just a really sub par experience. Spoke to the manager let her know about our experience. Her excuse is that the price is sooo special that in other words not to have high expectations. Incredible. First and last time

Wow the waitresses here are amazing! and friendly, howeverThe food quality has definitely gone down to below average (sad to Say) I love to come here during lunch so quick and close to work. Unfortunately the food workers do notRefill the trays of empty food and just sit around playing on their phones instead of attending customers needs.The food quality is no where near where it used to be.

Every month I go there when I'm starving.If the flavor of the rice was the same as the flavor of the original sushi rice I would give them 5

The food was average. Nice staff. Wished there was more flavor in the crawfish broth though.
