Alchimiste Belge

This was mine and my boyfriend's favorite bar when we visited Salzburg. First off, the atmosphere is fantastic. It feels a little bit like Alice in Wonderland, and most of the people hanging out are very cool. Second, the beer is great, as is expected with Belgian beer, and for not a bad price at all. Third, and most importantly though, the bar tenders are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I'm personally rather picky when it comes to beer, but the bar tenders time and time again were able to pick out beers that I absolutely loved. Overall, this place is great, and I wish I could find somewhere just as great back home

We were looking for beer that was a bit more interesting than the regular Austrian beer and found great brews at the Alchimiste Belge. They had two very good beers that were brewed by the owner and they had a great selection of other Belgian beers on tap as well as a large bottle selection.The bar spills out to the street onto tables or the sidewalk until 10pm at which time the outdoor scene is closed and everyone moves inside. A bit smokey on the inside, but if the beer is important... I highly recommend.

Recht zentral gelegene belgische Bierbar mit gro0er Auswahl an Flaschenbieren, dazu auch noch ein paar Biere vom Zapfhahn.Durchmischtes Publikum, abends am Wochenende oft sehr voll, dann auch sehr heiß. Macht aber alles nichts, weil die Biere einen mehr als entschädigen.

Conveniently located, this is a tiny bar specializing in Belgian beer. Lots of beers were bottle pours vs. tap pours. The bottles were mostly Belgian beers...
