Came here for dinner one night on the recommendation of our hotel. I think we showed up a little early (maybe around 8pm) and it was empty. By the time we left (probably a couple hours later) people were waiting for tables. It seems like a very local hangout, lots of people seemed to know each other there, but everyone is very welcoming and friendly so you don't feel like an outsider. We ordered a few dishes but the patatas bravas were the standout. We enjoyed our meal here but I recommend coming a little later than we did if you want a more lively atmosphere (but not too late, or there won't be space).
We had lunch here on a Tuesday. The restaurant is located on the main street that runs through the modern part of town. We sat outside on a street side terrace covered by a canvas awning (non-smoking). Inside lots of men were already drinking beer. Service was friendly and efficient plus we were given a menu in English. There was not a lot of selection for vegetarians like us, but we found a couple of vegetarian tapas to order. Although basic, everything was good and prices were low. We enjoyed our lunch here, although there was not a lot to get excited about. It was good and met our needs.
Popped in with my wife for some chips an croquettas and was surprised when ordering a midi for my wife and a racionne for me that the owner/waiter told us that the portions were large and that my wife should have a tapas and I should have a midi. When he brought the food he was right. We also had sweet and drinks. This was very reasonably priced and served in good time with a smile
Good homemade food, very cheap and a lot of food for the price. Everything was very tasty, wouldn't mind coming back! The only thing we didn't like so much, were the French fries, but everything else was good.
