Alpenblick - Tisch reservieren

After reading the reviews, I chose this restaurant. We arrived without booking and were seated on the terrace because the restaurant was full. The table we chose had a dirty table cloth, on asking if it could be changed we were advised to move tables!! We ordered beef skewer for my husband and beef medallions for me. Hubby's tasted great but was actually pork which he didn't mind because it tasted so good . I found a hair in my food and showed the waitress who took it away without comment! She did return, I assume, after checking with the kitchen staff and said sorry. I was then brought a replacement, sadly my husband had already finished his meal so we both ate alone effectively. The manager came over to see everything was ok and didn't seem to be aware that I had returned my meal because of a hair! Also the waitress didn't replace the accompanying sauce which had gone cold by this time, so I had to ask for that to be replaced also. I think the sauce had been rushed as it lacked the depth of flavour of its predecessor. The medallions, actually medallion, was cooked perfectly. Desert..... I ordered cheesecake. This lacked flavour and was very disappointing, hubby had chocolate cake which was better. On a different note, I visited the ladies which was in a corridor opposite room 4. Oddly the sink to wash your hands was in the corridor outside their room, wouldn't fancy staying in that room!

We were directed here by our concierge in Interlaken on January 1st because all Interlaken restaurants were fully booked. We enjoyed our meal very much and were grateful they were willing to accommodate our late night reservation (9:45 pm). Our family of four ordereded fondue for two, one fish plate and one plate of a beef skewer with bacon. We also had two appetizer salads and an once cream sundae. The fondue was very good and they happily added fresh garlic at our request. The salads were fresh and tasty although the dressing was a touch too salty. I thought the beef skewers were a bit fatty, but my step-daughter loved it. The fish was delicious and had a flavorful herb sauce. All in all a very good meal in a traditional atmosphere. The restaurant was only a fifteen minute taxi ride from Interlaken. It cost 32 CHF for the ride there and 28 CHF for the ride home. The meal was 196 CHF. The service was attentive and helpful.

This is a great little restaurant with a friendly, traditional atmosphere. The à la carte menu is very small but didn't feel limited and the tasting menu looked excellent but we decided to try it another time. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, definitely worth it's Michelin star and perhaps a bit more. The wine list is enormous but there is something for every taste and budget and there is good, sensible advice on hand if required. The only thing that let it down were the toilets, situated upstairs in the Hotel Alpenblick to which the restaurant belongs, which needed both renovation and cleaning.

We came here to try the fondu and after waiting for 10 minutes for a waiter we ordered a bread fondu that the menu said is for 2 people. What a disappointment it was when we found out that the price in the menu was per each person. Overpriced and not worth it.

Had a great meal here - superb staff with good recommendations of food and wine. Local aperitif was lovely as was the wine. Would recommend for sure
