this place sees attractive, beautiful terrace and a large first floor covered terrace. I don't know where the owners and the staff come from, and it doesn't matter, but they should be aware that there is more for the German hospitality than just to put some ornaments on the walls and cover and put a stock on. the service is very superficial due to clear speech barriers and lack of interest. eating is less than average. during the order they begin to sell additional items, but the ask feel like free options to ask what they ask: so salate are offered, but also loaded (3.5 for herb and 4.9 for gurke! This really fits up when it comes to a party of six. a beer is 6,90 eur! party of six returned 177 eur for only one carving, inedible fries and this so-called salat, which is nothing else than cucumber or wort thrown into a small bowl. I still wish these people a lot of luck, but I also want to make potential customers aware that there are much better places in cochem than those that offer more value ratio.
Well, the city was pretty full on Whit Sunday and the restaurants as well. But we found a place for two in the Alte Weinwirtschaft in Cochem on the third floor. When we ordered two 0,1 white wines by the glass with our food, we...were told that this item was not available on the third floor. Too much walking for the server. The Schnitzel with Fries was ok, but the baked potato did not look great. Payment was only available in cash, despite Corona!
My wife ordered a plate but got another one. After mentioning it they insisted it was correct. After some discussion they accepted their mistake and said they would make the right one fast. After more waiting time we discovered that they never started to make...the food for my wife because they were missing some ingredients. We left!
Wir haben hier während eines Wochenendausflugs in der Weihnachtszeit zu Abend gegessen. Es sieht alles sehr schön und gemütlich aus. Das Essen ist von durchschnittlicher Qualität, der Service weniger. Leider war es im Restaurant sehr kalt und wir mussten mit angezogener Jacke essen....Nicht zu empfehlen!
