Amy@Lemon Thai is in the heart of Dee Why, on Pittwater Rd. It’s mostly a takeaway and not a sit-down and eat in restaurant. It has only a few tables but provides you with all the fun and experiences following step by step how the cook is making the dishes. You can see how they were collecting the crispy fresh vegetables from the front of the counter, and how the chef makes the orders in a wok in no time.From the table we were sitting, I was able to see their fridge, and when the waiter and co-cook opened it, I could see how spotlessly clean and how well organised it has been. It was very encouraging to learn how well your future dinner’s ingredients are kept.First, we shared a mixed entrée, and it was ready in no time, and excellent. After my partner had a BBQ beef (Crying Tiger), and me a Green chicken curry.Both of us were more than satisfied with our choices. Everything was very flavorful, cooked to perfections. The meats were tender, and the vegetable was crispy.When I read their menu, it was so tempting, that I found several dishes that I „must” try. I think the best way to praise them, to tell that I hardly ever able to eat more than half of a dish, but here both of us polished up our meal, and not because the servings were small, but because they were too good to leave them on the plate.One thing for sure, next time when I’ll have a desire for Thai food, this will be the restaurant where I’ll come to, or where I’ll order from.

This restaurant is near an apartment we just moved to, and as we like Thai food it was an obvious choice. Judging from the few places to sit inside, most of their business is take-away. You can see the cook prepare everything and also see all the food is fresh.We ordered a mixed entrée to share (A$10) which included fish cake, chicken wings, spring rolls and a curry puff with chilli sauce. These were tasty and seemed good value compared to some so-called tapas restaurants not too far away. For mains I had Crying Tiger (A$17, fried beef in spicy sauce) and my partner a green chicken curry, to which we shared a small Jasmine rice. These were really good, in particular the Crying Tiger was better than a nearby competitor we tried a few days later.We noticed they were selling bags of prawn crackers to nearly every take-away customer so we departed with one of these and enjoyed them for days as snacks. We will definitely go back to this restaurant and it proves appearances can be deceiving.

This place was surprising and delightful. After many years ordering from the same restaurant this felt like a risk. It was well rewarded. The food was delicious and met our hopes beyond our expectation.Delicious authentic tasting Thai. Will order again. Probably tomorrow. Khop khun khap.

Trouble with this place is its so hit and miss and this last order Chicken Pad Thai, Satay sticks and Beef in oyster sauce was terrible. Pre made Satay sticks cold as, grit in the Pad Thai and beef that was chewy and slimy. No wonder the Japanese next door was so busy

Great food and good price. Amazing Thai food . MUST TRY ????????????. Amy (the owner)is very friendly. The best Thai food in Deewhy. Highly recommended.
