Can't fault the Applegarth, stayed for 3 nights with the wife for her birthday and really pleased with our choice. Excellent position for getting around windermere and the lake, hot tub suites are very comfortable, food is faultless as are the staff who are very helpful and polite. Ample on site parking and easy walking to the town if/when you stay just be aware it's a good 15-20 minute walk to the lake, if you struggle it's also uphill on the way back. Worth staying here, thank you to all the Applegarth team.
great stay as always, friendly, helpful staff, nothing is too much annoying. beautiful clean suite with whirlpool and rain shower, just perfect! a wonderful place to relax, relax and relax and recharge their batteries. no pressure in the restaurant to eat (which is actually worth a visit is fabulous eating or drinking in the bar (which is also worth a visit only to relax and enjoying drink to go our favourite place. we'll be back soon.
hospitality at its finest. we had a great stay that started with a very warm welcome. our large suite was really fantastic with high-quality fittings and finish, designed with full love to detail. we enjoyed our evening in luxuriously furnished restaurant and elegant bar very much. after a very comfortable night we ended our stay with a lovely lakeland breakfast. summing hospitality in its finest. we look forward to a new visit.
definitiw worthy of his 5*. we were 2 nights bed breakfast in a suite with a whirlpool, which we enjoyed especially because of the wonderful view from the balcony. it was also so nice to have table service to breakfast. close to are friendly bars restaurants, but far enough that our stay was not disturbed. the accommodation was immaculate, friendly staff.
