Arby 's used to be a great place to eat. Quick service, fresh meals, and great staff. However, when my family and I stopped in yesterday, it was anything but. We entered the restaurant and stood in line. Nobody acknowledged that we were there. They didn 't even look in our direction. We waited and waited, the line just got longer, still no acknowledgement. Finally, we just got off the line. Started to leave. But then they started taking orders. I placed my order. No receipt. I went back to ask for a receipt and the cashier didn 't offer to print one. I told her I wanted it just to show when I pick up my order, that I had paid. I don 't quite understand if it is just a very young front line who needs extra training or if they figure if they ignore customers for a bit, they don 't have to deal with lunchtime crowd pressure. From experience working in fast food and other customer-facing positions, one can simply say, We 're getting backed up. We apologize and we will be with you as soon as possible. Customers can then decide to either be patient (as we did) or simply choose another place to eat. But please don 't just ignore people. That simple statement goes a long way! Update Jan. 19, 2023 Food much better this go 'round. French dip was fresh and fantastic. Gyro bread was a little tough, but the filling was good.
