"We enjoyed a pulled pork bbq dinner which was enough for two. Hubby liked the collard greens and the corn bread was generous and delicious. Our guest really liked her chicken cheese steak. We ate outside and the waitress checked on us as she served other tables. Highly recommend."

After reading all the positive reviews we decided to try Sophie's Bbq. I ordered the 1/2 rack of ST. LOUUS ribs and a 1/2 LB of Lean brisket. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich and our friend the salmon sandwich. The salmon was good it was on cold toast? The chicken sandwich was good. They both ordered Mac and cheese for their sides. We ordered cornbread which was TOTALLY DRY AND HARD! And we got the sweet potato fritters very good. Well my 1/2 rack of ribs were cool and tough. I returned them and got pulled pork instead. Not much flavor it had no sauce on it. It was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING inside the restaurant and no heaters just a small vent blowing into the dining room. The door lets in all the cold air. We will not be back after spending $105.00 plus a 15% tip.

This is the real deal chef driven, region agnostic BBQ. Whether you get the wings, brisket, ribs or side dishes all was top notch. The brisket had a magnificent dusting of maldon sea salt and nothing needed extra salt. I would make a special trip here alone for the smoked wings with the 'bama sauce! Next time I 'm bringing a cooler of frosty alcoholic beverages it was so nice to sit outside and feast. If you are used to low quality sweet slathered BBQ--stay away. If you like bland food, stay away. If you put ketchup on all your food, stay away. If you want a variety of amazing quality meats, creative sides and a boatload of finesse, get in line and get ready to feast.

This place doesn't seem like much. But it doesn't have to. At first blush, the prices took me back a bit. But, the portions fulfill the dollar amount. There was more than enough for leftovers the next day, and the food quality even on the 2nd day, was still fine and tasty. I will say, I'd hate to be here when they were really busy, just because there isn't a lot of space in their dining area to maneuver. There is a strong cross-breeze on windy days, from the back to the front of the building. All in all, I wouldn't mind eating from there again, if I were in the area.

My experience across 2 visits: Brisket: I love brisket, but hate coffee. So coffee rubbed brisket just ruins it for me. BBQ Beans: Yuck! It's like a bowl of onions with beans. Too fluidy/watery. BBQ Sauce: Good flavor but just like the beans, too fluidy/watery. Burger: Pretty good, actually. Prices: Ridiculous! Burger with Beans Iced Tea was $23 before tax tip.
