Aroma Latin Fusion

I must say this was one of my favorite restaurants until last week. I made an online reservation ahead of time for 16 people to celebrate my birthday. I received a called 4 hours before my reservation to inform me that there was a policy change and that I needed every person in the group to consume at least $65.00 to keep the reservation. I decided to cancel the reservation as it would be rude to let your guests know that they would need to consume at least $65.00, last minute. I would have understood if this was communicated during the reservation or days before the reservation. My family and I decided to still go to the restaurant (without the reservation) and find some tables for our group. We were still financially penalized for having a big group when management failed to notify us earlier about the policy change. I do understand that policies change, but there was no consideration for us as clients when we initially had a reservation. I will no longer recommend this place. Disapointing experience. Menu is well put together and fusion of peruvian and colombian food. Ordered chaufa diah, beef anticucho, tostones. All this dishes are supposed to be served hot. Unfurtunally the came in some kind of plates that does jot conduce to maintain hot dishes. So, food was cold. I did not eat. I then ordered salchipapas, I’ll say how can you mees up salchipapas, i thought it would be safe. When salchipapa arrived to me, yes it was hot but burnt, hard and tastless. It appeared that salchichas were cooked in an air oven or microwaved. Spoke to the manager and only took the salchipapa off. Very disapointing experience. We went there at 19.10. The host told us no table and asked us to wait 30-45 mins. We asked her if we could wait in the restaurant,she told us to wait outside( while it is raining) and she would call us if table is available. We had waited for almost 2 hours. Then we found that she cancelled our booking without telling us. She was short, wearing glasses, long hair. If she can’t work as a host, go to work another job. She does not deserve to it. The lomo saltado is so flavorful the fried on the bottom soaking up the juices is the perfect accompaniment for medium cooked steak and veggies. We always get the ceviche and it never disappoints. Acidic, perfectly salted, sweet from the sweet potato, crunch from the corn, the bite from the onion ugh so good!!
