Auberge de la Garrigue

We saw the sign from the N7, & stopped for lunch. It was a gloomy day and the restaurant was empty so we asked to sit by the window; not possible because THAT table was set for 3!The waitress was not at all welcoming or helpful.The carte was interesting, although there were numerous supplements to the advertised price of 16€90; when it came the food was as described on the carte, but uninspiring presentation and taste. We left one of the oysters, which should never have been brought to the table.There were no locals whilst we were there; a Dutch couple returning from their holidays arrived & were placed at the other table set for 2, this time directly between the entry & the toilets.

We had an excellent and reasonably priced set lunch at this restaurant which is located alongside the route nationale. We took an outside table under the vines and enjoyed the sunshine. The menu is interesting but definitely not for vegetarians. There are supplements for some menu choices but, generally, the 17 euro set menu covered starter, main, dessert, coffee and wine. Closed Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday.

Our meals were okay. The outside patio was nice and shady. Unfortunately the waitress was rude. I did not understand what was said. Our french companions did and interated that she had been rude.

I recommend the frame is very pleasant and the dishes based on fresh products with a beautiful dress.
