Walking around the grounds of Clos Luce, thinking about lunch on a warm August day and we come across this restaurant. Perfect. Managed to get an outside table, before they started turning people away. Discovered it was a restaurant that served food in a style and using the ingredients that were in use when di Vinci lived at Clos Luce. To be fair the theme works well. The restaurant was very busy, so the staff were stretched, the food was good and tasty the strawberry soup for dessert being particularly good. All in all a nice experience. Not sure is you can access this restaurant other than through Clos Luce park.
Having lunch at this auberge is an experience because of the whole atmosphere, the room, the waitress, the crockery, and last but not least the food. Portions are not big but the price of the full menu is reasonable, if you are hungry have the full lunch. Aperitif is included in all the menus.
We didn’t know that there was a restaurant in the grounds, so wandering around we were glad we found it. The setting was superb, the food was interesting and the staff were all very friendly. Would definitely go again
Our large group had a wonderful meal and we especially enjoyed the salmon in a crepe with leek salad. Dessert and appetizer were also wonderful and the wines were interesting--not your usual fare.
