During our week in Paris, friends had a one night stay at Charles de Gaulle airport waiting for a flight back to the US. We wanted to get together for dinner without them having to make the trek into Paris on the eve of their early morning flight. Luckily, I found the Auberge duTourlourou in an internet search and made a reservation via e-mail. The husband and wife team provided excellent food from the kitchen and a warm welcome in the dining room. It was a completely memorable evening on all levels. Why anyone would think of eating airport food when this gem is a ten minute taxi ride away is a mystery!
Driving into the center of Tremblay en France with some business partners visiting from China, I had the idea that this was a mistake, based on the surroundings. But from the moment we walked in the door, the staff of Auberge du Tourlourou made us all feel incredibly welcome. The food was fantastic and the multi-course options gave my partners the chance to really explore a wide range of French cuisine. The chef and the serving staff were very gracious and patient. I will absolutely be back next time I'm near Villepinte.
It was by chance we found this restuarant. We opted for the 35 euro set menu .The service was attentive but not intrusive. The restuarant had a lovely calm ambience. The meal was very nicely presented and was excellent . What made the meal really great was the cheese board or should I say cheese table .Which had an enormous ,excellent variety of cheese. The cheese was superb. Mr Gonzalo the owner was most kind and helpful in our transport . I would highly recommend this restuarant .
Ate here with friends based on a previous visit. It did not disappoint! Food was very well prepared and served, plus we had a great time. It is quintessentially French!
