Auberge St Martin

We have visited this Auberge a few years ago in winter, and returned with great anticipation. The restaurant is in a lovely setting and there was a queue of customers so it must be popular. We ordered the tourist menu a mistake . Tarte Flambee appeared with a glass of wine, good so far. To follow there was we had ham in a riesling sauce very good. The problem was that the spetzles arrived 10 minutes after the ham! No explanation or apology. I have read another review, and agree that the feeling was that if you are regular the service is better.

We were brought here by a relative who lives in Alsace, and it was such a memorable meal, he chatting with them and just figuring out what should we have...? (in French, of course . Not a place I would have been able to figure out (or converse in for myself, years ago....Food cooked as ordered, when ordered, casual ambiance... Memorable even years later. (Then went on Wine Route of Alsace etc... that day. (Note: we went here many years ago, but the dates offered here only go back to Oct 2018

Great meal on the covered terrace. Delicious tarte flambée. Husband had the daurade (bream) which was perfectly cooked. The desserts were generously served and exquisite. We had chocolate mousse and crème brûlée. Best of all fabulous service with a smile. Such a warm welcome from all team members. Good value.

Very popular spot, which is always reassuring. Lots of local families and tourists. Salads were very good, with extremely generous portions. Tarte flambées were excellent here. Fast and efficient service. Highly recommend.

This is the place to go and eat flammekueche, their specialty. Nice place, friendly service in a lovely Alsatian village. Reasonable prices.
