Banh Mi King - Tisch reservieren

I heard about this new Vietnamese place and decided to try it for lunch. I looked online and decided to order for pick up through Skip the Dishes. That turned out to be a good idea as there were 20 people in line when I arrived.The order process using Skip worked well. When I arrived my order was waiting on the counter. I had the pork belly baoger. It was excellent. Fresh steamed bun and he pickled vegetables were refreshing. The pork belly was a good sized portion and cooked nicely. Tender and easy to bite and tasty. I also had a side order of 2 spring rolls. They were very good. Light and crispy, just like I remember from when I visited Vietnam.My next visit again I ordered using Skip and it went well again. I had the stewed beef sub (this is one of their BMK Dip subs). When I opened the bag it was not what I expected (a sandwich with stewed beef inside). Instead, a nice fresh sub bun (just like on the streets of Saigon!). The beef was in a bowl, but it was beef stew. I supposed they want you to dip the bread in the stew and eat it that way. I opted to eat the potatoes out of the stew first. Then I put the carrots, onions, beef into the bun. I added some of my side order of kimchee. Then I ate it like that while dipping it in the amazing beef broth. It was excellent. The stewed beef was so tender and full of flavor. The side kimchee had a little spice to it which was great. Third visit I dropped in and ordered. About 10 people in line and my order took about 15 minutes. I ordered the deluxe beef pho to take away. They did a great job packaging it all up so that it would not be a soggy mess when I returned to the office. Once container had the bean sprouts with two smaller containers of hot sauce and hoisin sauce (I think). A large container had the tasty beef broth which had some beef chunks in it. The bowl had the noodles, sliced beef and vegetables. So I poured in the broth and added the sprouts and got into it. It was very flavourful. Overall a great little find. The interior is nice, modern with chalk board menus and illustrations. Only one complaint is ordering in person is not fast. They seem to be a little disorganized, even with their POS system. I will be back as the menu has some other dishes that seem very interesting.

Went here for a quick dinner during the week. Had heard good things so was excited to try it. Had the BBQ chicken banh mi and chicken salad rolls. The banh mi had great flavor and was over all tasty. Only issue for me was the chicken had lots of fat and cartilage pieces in it which wasn't appetizing. They forgot about our rolls, there was only 1 other table at the time which had all their food, our sandwich was almost done so I went to ask about the rolls. I was told they'd be ready shortly but turns out they were sitting in a to go box because they thought it was for a different order. No big deal but own up to it and just say oh sorry, not pretend like nothing happened and I'm bothering you by asking. Flavor of the rolls was ok but the chicken was kind of gross. If it had some flavor it was marinated maybe better. It tasted like cold plain maybe even boiled chicken. It had no flavor what so ever. All in all I enjoy the Vietnamese flavors and would like to go back and try the Pho or a different Banh Mi but there's definitely room for improvement.
