Becco Restaurant

This place is tucked away in one of the many side streets and alleys in the CBD. It was by luck that we noticed the place.We arrived on spec not having any reservation. In addition we mentioned that we needed to be serviced relatively quickly as we had theatre tickets. This did not phase the staff and soon we were seated in a rather comfortable and attractive decor.I chose the Spaghetti Vongole. a mixture of seafood and spaghetti. The meal was very tasty and certainly fresh, the one detracting feature was that the meal was only just warm rather then hot. The other main was Saltimbocca which was described as delicious. Two glasses of very nice red finished off the meal.Service very goodCertainly recommended but I got the impression that it could be rather noisy as it seems to cater for business types and those going to the theatre

Four of us and our toddler grand daughter dined here on a Tuesday night before a show at The Princess Theatre a mere 5 minutes away.We were greeted warmly and seated at a round table with comfortable chairs.Delicious warm crusty bread with condiments was promptly served whilst we pondered our dinner choices. My vongole pasta was cooked to perfection with the right balance of chilli and very good quality olive oil. Gnocchi with rabbit ragu was also well seasoned and of excellent quality, homemade gnocchi fluffy and tasty. The wine list was extensive and not too expensive. All in all a wonderful dining experience, with helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommend and will return.

We chose Becco for our night out as it was an exciting menu and a place that we had not been to before. The food was fantastic, I had quail then the duck. My wife had the pork belly then the veal. Very nice, and decent portion sizes (for us anyway). I have to mention that there is a reasonable wine list too. We could not go past the DOCG chianti's (do recommend).The venue was great, I had good view of the kitchen (it's good to watch those people work their magic) and the service was even better.

I have dined at tis establishment on two occasions and found the service to be faultless and the menu to be excellent. Located in Crossley St off the top of Bourke St I highly recommend this restaurant and plan to return soon. Pricing is on the high side but the experience is so good that I didn't worry about that. This is a great place to entertain family, business associates or friends.

This is a very simple but fantastic menu. A perfect location for business and romantic meals. Ambience is perfect and not noisy at all with sufficient privacy. Menu is simple but food is really good. Nice location.
