We ended up spending a couple of evenings here and also visited during the afternoons for a sit down and a cold beer. The staff were so lovely despite our poor French. Their chips are amazing and the local stew is outstanding. I wish I'd known enough French to ask for the recipe. Prices were very reasonable, the menu is based on local, homecooked dishes, the wine was outstanding and the service was always with a friendly smile. Look out for the daily visit of the local stork who swoops down and stands outside the kitchen door waiting for a few scraps. It's an amazing sight at an amazingly homely little restaurant.
We had a lunch there and everything was great. The place is small and with really friendly people. We had some tarte flambee, (what else, right? , and the traditional one is the best one, the rest of them is not that special as it looks like. The prices are very nice and it's just a nice small friendly place.
We had lunch here twice during our stay and enjoyed it both times. The owner is very friendly. We had tarte flambee which was delicious, you have to try it. We also had the choucroute dish which is all pork, sausage and saurkraut and very good. Good beer and wine by the pichet.
Had a lunch, 2 plain soups that should cost 7 EUR each, and 2 glasses of white whine that should cost 4.5 EUR each. Expecting 23 but had to pay 37 EUR. The staff were pointing at the napkins…. Dissapointed.
