This sits alongside the railway platform so you can use the hourly train to travel here if you wish. The terrace is best in the summer with plenty of shade and breeze and each time we ate here it was very busy. We had to...eat upstairs in the building on our last visit and wouldn't recommend it, it gets unbearably warm as there are no windows, so much so that my wife had to leave her dinner and go outside to cool down. The menu is limited but that's a good thing, everything is cooked to order and fresh. We enjoyed the rosti especially and food/drink prices were reasonable.
As the restaurant in our hotel was closed on Sunday, we looked for a place to have dinner in the neighbourhood. We were very happy we found this nice restaurant, which is in fact a beautiful restauration of the old local trainway station (still in...practice). Note the restaurant offers a nice terrace and plenty of parking space. We ate a very good meat (rumpsteak) and fish dish (saibling), which was excellent value for the money since we paid only €50 for our dinner (incl. Two beers, bottle of water, tea and espresso). Excellent address.
Stayed at the campingplatz alongside. Very friendly service. Lovely food. Plum cake Pear cake appeared to be home made were delicious. Goulash Soup ideal to warm fill on the wet October afternoon of our visit. The lady serving spoke much better English...than I did German. Steam train passed by about 15ft away if that’s your thing!
Lassen Sie sich nicht vom Schein täuschen ... dieses kleine Lokal hat eine begrenzte Speisekarte, hauptsächlich Selbstbedienungsgerichte. Aber was sie haben, ist ziemlich gut und der Service ist ausgezeichnet. Guter Ort für einen Nachmittagssnack und Bier!
