The food was outstanding with a great wine list. The staff was very professional, friendly and attentive not intrusive anyway always present. All in all a great restaurant, pricey but worth the money. Would highly recommend and come back very soon."

It was very late at night and I was looking for any restaurant that worked because in wintertime in Linz the cuisines in the restaurants are closed about 10-10:30 P.M This restaurant was recommended to me by the locals because it was still open. Although it is located on the main street it's not easy to find it because it's hidden in a small alley and not very well marked. The atmosphere is very casual, the space is more like a lounge bar with a selected range of fine cuisine. The waiter was very polite and honest when we talked about the food and he recommended me the tuna tartar and it was really perfect, ideal soft and spicy. After that I ate tikka masala with shrimps - great flavors and perfectly balanced spices. The bar has a separate space for smokers but you can feel smoke everywhere. Although I'm a non-smoker I did not mind because the atmosphere and the food is really greatI! I sincerely recommend this bar to everyone.
I cannot say anything really bad about this place but somehow it is not more than average to me. The menu is very diverse, which I like. The steak is the most expensive dish with 33 Euros but they also have traditional Austrian pasta dishes for 10 Euros. The place is a little cramped, tables for two are very small. It is very loud. The food was good, we had asparagus cream soup as an appetizer and then Kasnockerl and Schinkenfleckerl (both traditional Austrian pasta dishes.) But two things that I absolutely dislike: for the bread they put in front of you they charge 3,50 € per person. And the cheapest bottle of red wine was 45 Euros. I just find that to be a little bit arrogant. Yes, it’s a nice place but in my eyes not such a high end restaurant to justify this. Fine, make your margin on the wine. But there are plenty out there that also taste great for less money.
Just erroneously landed here because we thought it´s an Italian restaurant (which is on the first floor above this place.) So we were seated outside on bar chairs which was nice as you could watch the people strolling around. The staff was really very nice and helpful. There were about 3 of them asking if all was fine or if we´d need something. Also the food was served fast and looked very delicious though it was just normal Austrian kitchen and so nothing special was expected. The taste was grant. Would go there again. Next time on purpose. ;-)
This restaurant excelled itself. As it was sommerfest, the place was busy with staff run off their feet. However, quality service and quality food were not sacrificed. There were special food items as well as the standard menu. The warm bread (at extra charge) was delicious and the steak (very expensive) was cooked to perfection. Tucked away in a small laneway/short mall, there is outdoor seating as well as the dining room inside.
