Overall, for a fun tasty bite out...this place is pretty good. The gluten free crusts are awesome, and the toppings are really good...they don't have that many set combinations though and sort of rely/expect you to come up with the toppings you want (you can customize any set of toppings). I don't really think this is a drawback, it just would be kind of nice to have a few more topping suggestions to try.The atmosphere inside is nice..but for some reason eating there feels kind of rushed sometimes. Hard to say why...It might help if they had the odd tv up just to give it a more comfortable hang-out kind of feel
Tried this place last weekend and I was so impressed with the quality of the ingredients, the delicious taste, and the one-price format. Where else can you get a pizza that you can have all the toppings you choose for one low price? The pizza is also wood fired, and so quick. I also like their choice of flavored lemonades and other beverages. Blood Orange Lemonade was delicious! I will be back! They also have gluten free crusts if that is important to you!
Finally! I think I have eaten at every pizza place in Calgary and Blaze is my style. You call it in and it's ready fast. Loved it! I'm generally a thin crust pizza lover but decided to try one of each and we agreed the think crust had left us wanting more. Defenitly our new pizza spot. Eat in or take it home. Might seem a little odd but I really liked that the pizza box lid comes right off. It's the little things I guess.
The advantage of this spot is that your pizza is made to your specifications and is cooked very quickly. The disadvantage is that if you are here during a popular time ( ie early Friday evening) you could wait in line as I did for 30 minutes before even getting to place your order. Regardless, the pizza is good. The thin crust is a nice touch. Wild Rose Beer is available on tap and is inexpensive, cold, and tasty.
