Blue Mesa Grill

My company had Blue Mesa on vacation. I've never heard of it before, and I tried to stick with what looked reasonably veggie and doesn't think too much about it. I had the Ginger Rice, Smoky Black Beans, Blue Corn Cheese Enchilada and Corn Cake. It was all very delicious! What prompted me to explore this was when I ate the next day the beans, I tried to determine the taste, and I thought sure these must be made with smoked ham or bacon or something to get this kind of taste. I went to the site to see if I could possibly see any ingredients, and come to find out that the beans are actually vegetarian, like many things. If you go to the nutritional information page, it tells you which articles are vegetarian and what can be made vegan. Great taste everywhere! LOOOVE of gingerries!

I swung in here because the name looked interesting, and had good reviews here. First, the favors were great, and the dark chocolate empenatas with cherries were amazing. However, as the manager explained they clean their own fish, and someone missed a bone in my red fish fillet. I some how managed to swallow it, and it got caught in my throat briefly. The staff was very nice, and took care of it accordingly. I'm leery now of the fish fillets, but everything else was good. Would go back, just won't order fish.
