We’ve dined here 3x so far. Great location in “downtown” Wake Forest. Each time the hostess sat us immediately and was very friendly and chit-chatty. The owner is always nearby and visits tables to make sure you are happy. We were able to park on the street right infront of the restaurant but noticed a parking lot to the left. The decor atmosphere are inviting. My only complaint is the 2 top tables are close together and narrow, so each time we go we sit at the bar or ask for a larger table so my husband and I can sit next to each other. Our server has always been well trained and the food is piping hot and tasty. We usually start with a margarita w/casamigos a grand Marnier floater, a glass of Sauvignon blanc, other times we’ve had a Bordeaux, old fashions or martinis. Always yummy cocktails. We’ve ordered the crab dip, French onion soup, arugula salad, gnocchi in a cream sauce, beef empanadas, the rigatoni w/Wagyu ragout (my favorite), goat cheese dip, and the peruvian chicken which is like a pâté. The food was always plentiful for “Tapas” and high quality. Last night we tried dessert the chocolate mousse (incredible) and the pear pecan pie which my husband said was the BEST pecan pie he’s ever ate! (We’ve tried all these over 3 visits, not at once, lol). Our bill usually runs $110- $140 plus tip. We thought it was underpriced compared to similar restaurants.

Made reservations and we were seated right away. We ordered two drinks. The first was rum, old-fashioned, which was made very well and it was a good drink. The second was a blackberry bourbon smash and it was not my favorite. We ordered tapas: crab dip, which was good, and the Beef Empanada NC Wagyu, which tasted like sloppy Joe’s, and I wouldn’t order it again. Next, Parisienne gnocchi, which was good, not exceptional. We also had the Spanish Serano ham, and that was tasty. Our dessert was a basic crème brûlée, and it was good, made well. And then the latte which is very good. Our servers initials were PDR. Couldn’t hear his name. He way very nice and attentive in the very beginning, but he was very soft-spoken, and it was hard to hear what he was saying through all the clamor of the restaurant. Closer to the end of the evening, even though he was serving water next to us, we still had to ask for refill. But other than that our food came out warm, quickly and good. The prices of the food were reasonable, but the drinks were definitely overpriced. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, chic and upscale. I do like this restaurant and we will be back.

I rarely leave restaurant reviews but feel like I need to stop everything to leave one for Bodega in Wake Forest. My husband and I ate dinner there last night and the food, service, and atmosphere were amazing! We shared six small plates and a dessert and this was plenty of food for us. The wait staff was so attentive. The ambience was cozy and dark but not stuffy. I cannot remember a time where I have left a restaurant and just felt wowed . We compared it to another recent restaurant experience where we paid a similar amount (for very sub-par food) and decided we would never go to that restaurant again. Bodega has really moved the bar for us. Please support this restaurant as it is so apparent that their food is crafted to perfection.

Casual, relaxed atmosphere with top shelf food and drinks. Amazing combinations of flavors, great service, and one of the few places where you don't at all feel rushed through dinner. Sit down, order a couple of things, take your time, order more when you're ready, and enjoy your food. Also, best grilled octopus I've ever had, without exaggeration. Service: Dine in
