Boxcar Pizza - Tisch reservieren

Boxcar Pizza does creative all vegan pizza done Detroit style. I am from NY and had plenty of pizza there in the day before I was vegan. Pizza and NY are synonymous. I would love to check out Screamer's Pizza in NY next time I am there.I have only had Detroit Pizza one other time and happened to be vegan. It was alright when I had it then. I have been to Detroit where the talented rapper Eminem is from. Detroit is where the pinball like running back legend Detroit Lion Barry Sanders played. Detroit is where I was in awe when I saw the Diego Rivera murals there. Detroit isn't known for it's pizza yet lately Detroit pizza seems to be getting popular.Detroit Pizza is like a cross between Sicilian and Chicago deep dish yet comes in a square with four slices. Boxcar Pizza was named best vegan pizza this past year in Veg News magazine so had great expectations coming here. Boxcar Pizza delivered! I went with the Viktor Vaughn pizza. The pizza came with mozzarella, cheddar, kale, red onions, ricotta, mama lil's peppers, and pesto. I got it with a side of red sauce for dipping which I recommend.The pizza was very tasty. Plenty of flavor. It was a bit rich and filling for plenty of vegan cheese was used. Perhaps a touch less vegan cheese and other pizza pies with more veggies would be nice. I like that this pizza had plenty of veggies on it. I just got this and was able to eat it all. Each pizza serves one to two depending on your appetite. If you come with a friend or spouse might be good to split one and order a Kale Caesar salad to share.Viktor Vaughn is the real name of Dr. Doom who happens to be the arch enemy of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Comics. Viktor Vaughn is also a British rapper.There are many different kinds of pizza here and am so happy that a vegan pizza place delivers tasty vegan pizza. I hope they open up branches in other cities.Recommended!

Ohhh my DELICIOUSNESS! This is by far one of the best pizza spots in town, or anywhere I’ve tried pizza. Deep dish Detroit style pizza that’s fully vegan is hard to beat. They also offer slices during limited hours for $5 daily which is a real treat.Photos shown is there mozzarella basil slice and their daily special when I went: Philly cheesesteak(it was amazing).Located in the lil Zipper, there’s a seating around inside the lil zipper that’s connected to several other small establishments so if you go with people who may not want pizza, there’s other options to meet the needs of others. Parking can be limited but I usually park across the street very easily and walk over (the busy sandy BLVD). There’s a light you can cross at.

Man, I wish they had vegan pizza places like this on the other side of the country. This place just knocks it out of the park. I ordered dinner from them twice while I was in town and both times the food was great. I had the Bianca the Jalapeno Bacon Cheesy bread. The thick style pizza gives you that nice crusty baked cheese and crust on the corners. The toppings were fresh and just the right amount. I couldn't believe how good this was.

This was an incredible pizza! My not-plant-based-cheese-fiend partner approves of the cheesy bread. It’s suuuper filling, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and not soggy (which is a feat because I have struggled to find non-sogged-up vegan pizza)

One of my favorite pizza places in town, and I'm not vegan. I've order 5 different pies from here at this point, and enjoyed all of them. Even the kale salad is good, and I'm usually not a fan. Can't go wrong here.
