I visited Le Grand Cafe 3 times during 2 weeks on my recent trip to Paris. This restaurant is close to our office and is a preferred choice for lunch with some of our colleagues. I tried the vegetarian pasta and home made sandwich. On both occasions I found the quantity was the dishes was very good. The salad served with the dishes was very fresh and the food was nice. The prices are medium to high but the quantity compensates for it. As with many other French restaurants, it might be difficult to find multiple options for vegetarian food. I tried couple of deserts. I liked the cafe gourmet which is coffee with small pieces of 3-5 other sweets. One of my colleague tried a mango dessert and the mango was really big. If you wish to try some typical french food, you might like this place.
The menu includes interesting plats like foie de veau, rognons de veau and faux-filet, as well as a good choice of wine (in carafes or bottles. The appetizers (first-courses, entrées are quite limited and there is no formule at dinner time. The quality of the preparation was excellent, justifying the slightly elevated prices. Although relatively popular, it's not a place for noisy young drinkers: it's a restaurant where one can dine and converse.
This was a place of choice for a quiet breakfast near Paris. The place is away from the bustle of the city, but the quality and atmosphere are truly French, and the quality very high. In the morning, it is nice to see the regulars gather around the bar area for their first coffee. With a simple breakfast of coffee and croissants €7), one cannot go wrong here.
Good restaurant, good food and value for money. Me and my wife have lunch dinner at this restaurant from time to time. If you are around Courbevoie near the Seine river, we recommend it.
