This restaurant is recommended by the Swiss tourism board. However, the service was really disappointed. First, the waiter (the guy in the last photo) made a wrong order and did not acknowledge his mistake. Rather, this waiter immediately said we ordered this. What he said was that we ordered number 106! Indeed we did not order food using number. This waiter appeared to tell lies instead of solving the problem. This kind of attitude is totally unacceptable in any sense. Second, nobody asked the quality of food, no matter if it is good or not. Third, when we checked the bill, the response was very slow. When we spoke English, the aforementioned waiter spoke French. This appears to be "very nice" to tourists. After I carefully read the comments from Trip Advisor, I realized that some customers also revealed this point, that is poor service. I am not sure how Swiss tourism board recommended this restaurant, but at least during my dinner this restaurant did not give me a good impression of Switzerland. Besides service, we were very annoyed by flies. They appeared all the time during the dinner. I understand the weather is hot, but I strongly suggest the restaurant to improve this problem. Imagine if any customers eat the food infected by flies, what will be the reputation of Switzerland?
a small bottle still water 2.5dl costs here over 5 francs. the personal is also unfriendly and not customer-friendly. you get the stretching/quatting only when you ask. if you don't ask, some things aren't tipped. where the money ends. there was no official drink card of alcohol-free drinks - so prices could be arbitrary. next door it is much cheaper and the staff much more friendly. never again
Wir essen hier gelegentlich an einem Sonntagnachmittag Moules. es ist immer ein Hochgenuss! Wir können uns nicht erinnern, irgendwo bessere Moules gegessen zu haben (Europa, Atlantikküste, Norddeutschland, England, Italien). Das Personal ist immer sehr kompetent und effizient. großes Kompliment!
the first time we had chosen this restaurant for mussels and since every time we pass to berne we return with pleasure. mussels are always excellent with a great choice and service welcoming and efficient. very well located in the center of berne.
