We have eaten here on three occasions now and always the service is excellent and every support given to us as non french speakers. This year we were in hoots of laughter with the waitress as she tried to explain the dessert. I hasten to add that she laughed at us as well! The owner helped out with his very good English and I can honestly say it was one of the best meals and experiences I have ever had. The food was beautifully served and thinking of the prices of eating out in France, very reasonable. To any English visitor, particularly those not confident in the language I can honestly say you should visit and enjoy a meal there.
Each year we go back to this restaurant in Montelimar and each year are delighted with the food, the service, the friendliness and the cost. The proprietor speaks very good English for us uneducated British but the real deal is the pleasant location, no rush to get you served and out so that the table can be resold, the food taste, texture and variety. Unlike a lot of restaurants in France the servings are also of a size that English people will like! Not huge but very ample. Long may they continue.
This is a restaurant with nice sea food. We ordered the Choucroute from the sea and had a very nice meal, which was made from two kinds of fish, crawfish, shrimps and mussels. We had a perfect advice from the waiter concerning the wine, which was from Languedoc. The Choucroute left some space for the dessert: we had Crème Catalane (a local variation of Crème Brulé), which was OK even if we prefer the international version.
Elected to dine here for our evening meal after a long day travelling to Montelimar. The restaurant does a lot of seafood dishes as well as the normal fare one would expect to find. Our meals were excellent as was the service. Located close to a very busy road, the traffic noise initially might put one off from choosing this establishment but you soon ignore this when the food is placed in front of you.
