Brownstones Coffee

Awful. Service from start to finish was not good. Food was okay. Paid for a meal for 3, immediately after finishing our food we were continuously asked to leave our table. When we said no (because we paid to be there) we were met with a guilt trip, rolled eyes, and heavy sighs.Id understand if we had been there for a long time already, but we had not even been there for more than 35-40 minutes at this point. We still had coffee to finish and were waiting on an Uber to pick us up as well. Very unprofessional and rude.As someone who has worked as a server, I understand the boundaries of overstaying at a table- but when a guest hasn’t even been there for a full hour, and is still finishing items they paid money for, you leave them alone, or at the *very* least- ask politely

Brownstones is extremely loud to the point of almost not being able to communicate with others in our party. Then the check comes (two checks, one for cash and the other for credit card). After looking at the check we were charged .60 per person for half and half with our coffee! Also you have to carefully interpret the fine print on the menu since a custom omelet with choice of three items but you will be charged 3.00 extra dollars per meat if you choose for more then one meat. Don't expect to get toast with your omelet, that's extra too!With so many options for food Brownstones is no longer a breakfast option for us given the noise, added fees and hidden charges. One would think they would have to be up front with you if you want anything more then black coffee.

This place is absolute trash. Sat and waited 15 min to be acknowledged, received our order of food without drinks, utensils or syrup for pancakes? Who in their right mind serves food before drinks? We literally left our food at the table and walked away from this dumpster fire. Complained to hostess upon walking out (Manager was nowhere to be found) and she stated that there was a lack of servers due to closing? Needless to say this was the worst service we have ever experienced. I don't understand how you can treat customers like this in our current environment, luckily reviews are a powerful tool to use against these types of establishments. Anyone with more than a one star review was paid for sure so please go ANYWHERE else, but here.

I would leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to being any good. 50% of reviews are 5 stars, but zero comments, so that tells you all you need to know about their authenticity. The real score should be 2.8 stars in my opinion.

The restaurant is absolutely adorable. The coffee is fantastic. BEC sandwich, amazing. The girl at the front desk working this morning IS SO NICE. Thank y’all!
