I ate here on my first night in St Gilgen. When you enter it looks like a pub or bar, rather smoky, not particularly nice place to have dinner, but a nice place to hang about with a beer or whine. However walking through to the back, there was a dining room. It was almost empty when I was there, (between Christmas and New year 2016.) However, the menu had a nice selection of mainstream and traditional local dishes. I had a traditional meat dish, The food, was excellent, and good value, and there were other dishes that also looked good value. However the service was not that great, because the staff only came out in this dining room occasionaly, so you needed to wait for them, or get into the bar to get them. Also, with the dining room almost empty, the dining experience could have been better. However, the food was excellent, so I think when more people are eating here, and maybe for lunch, I think this is a good place to eat.
Es sind die Atmosphäre und die Gastgeber, die diesen Ort ausmachen. Natürlich sind auch die Getränke und das Essen ausgezeichnet. Wir haben diesen Ort jeden Abend besucht, als wir in St. Gilgen waren. Sie haben eine tolle Terrasse und liegen direkt im Zentrum der Stadt. Nicht zu vermissen.
Ein verregneten Samstag, aber dann ein rundum überzeugendes Essen, bei dem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt:Erdäpfelsuppe mit Speck und Pilzen, Welsragout und Kaspressknödel auf Blattsalaten: alles frisch und Supergut! Dazu noch ein ausnehmend freundlicher Service!
auch nach 14 Uhr warme Speisen ,besonders nette Bedienung ,gute Lage mitten in St.Gilgen - zum Essen - Hühner-Curry ,Schweinefilet - Salat - guter Wein alles kam sehr schnell und schmeckte sehr gut - g.k.
