As a group of more than a dozen people, we were the only guests because the racetrack was deserted at the day of our visit. “Bull’s Lane” is definitely not a cozy place. It resembles rather a cafeteria or an airport restaurant. The choice is not as wide as in an ordinary restaurant. For instance, there were only about half a dozen main courses at the permanent menu.The kitchen seemed to make ample use of convenience products such as instant soup, chicken nuggets and alike. The food had no outright flaws, but was pretty basic. It served the purpose of filling the stomach since portions were large. However, it provided no highlights. For example, meat tended to be hard and dry.Service was largely all right. In spite of that, the waiters served two different pasta dishes that should have been based on spaghetti according to the menu, but had in fact been prepared with penne. Admittedly, this does not change the taste significantly. Nonetheless, the waiters should have asked their guests whether such a change was all right with them or should at least have apologized for this minor aberration when serving those dishes. However, they had not done anything in this respect.Prices would have been adequate at a race day when demand is high. Given that we were there at a day of the “low season”, the performance of “Bull’s Lane” did not justify the prices they charged, which corresponded to those of a decent full-blown restaurant.
Katastrophe so ein schlechtes Service ist unvorstellbar. Das Personal ist vollkommen überfordert. Die Qualität der Speisen war nicht in Ordnung. Man sollte diese an und für sich sehr gute Anlage nicht durch derartige Dilettanten beschädigen. Schade. Prädikat besonders nicht empfehlenswert. Hier ist ganz dringend der Betreiber gefordert um die hie herrschenden Missstände abzubauen.
Das Lokal liegt direkt über der Boxengasse und bietet neben Mittagsmenüs auch A la Carte Spezialitäten mit regionalen Zutaten. Die Lage ermöglichet es, neben dem Essen die vorbeirasenden Boliden zu beobachten, was motorsport-affinen Menschen noch den extra Kick gibt.
Wir waren eine Gruppe zu 12 Personen. Von den bestellten 8 Salaten wurden nur 2 serviert, der Rest wurde vergessen. Die Burger sind ok - aber auch nicht mehr. Personal ist nicht unbedingt um den Gast bemüht.
