Bundaberg Lakes Tavern

Decor: Modern, Up market Tavern. Comfortable, but no upholstered chairs, no table clothes.Service: Friendly, helpful and welcoming. Reasonably quick 16 minutes from ordering until food received .Ambience: Pleasant place to be. Reasonably quiet, easy to carry on a conversation but it was pretty empty Menu: Extensive pub menu steak, pasta, pizza, parmigiana, burgers, etc. No trouble to find a meal you would like.Food: Not great. My garlic prawns were tasteless and only warm, the garlic sauce was watery and lacked flavour. The rice varied from hard to soft and mushy I suspect it had been sitting in the Bain Marie for some time and the top had dried out, whilst the bottom had continued to absorb moisture . My wife's Carbonara was also lacking in flavour and the sauce was thin but at least it was streaming hot! Serving size was large!Prices: Weird $32.98? , but reasonable.Not highly recommended.

What a breath of fresh air this place is!We have been doing the rounds of places in Bundaberg and this place is a shining example for the others. We cannot sing the praise of all the staff highly enough.we had a gathering of 16 people there and it was excellent, from the food, bar and kitchen staff were great and very professional.
