We visited the Antebia restaurant for dinner whilst staying in Linz for a couple of nights. The menu had a good choice of starters, soups and various main courses including pasta, pizza and other dishes ranging from Italian to Turkish cuisine.The restaurant is situated down a side-street off the Main Street in Linz. This maybe means it lacks in atmosphere compared to some of the restaurants in the main square and other busier places in Linz.Our food however was very nice, well cooked and well presented whilst the service was also friendly and helpful. Perhaps due to the location, the restaurant didn't have a "tourists come and go" feel about it and seemed to be more locally used.Food here is also fairly cheap (€50 for a large, two course meal with drinks) rather than some of the busier places which are more expensive.The reason, however, that this restaurant didn't have that "wow factor" required for a truly memorable meal.
War heute das 3 mal in dieser Woche beim Antebia in der Magazingasse. Habe zum 3 mal Calamari vom Rost mit Kartoffeln gegessen und jedes schmecken sie so gut wie im Urlaub in Italien. Preise sind sehr fair und das Ambiente zauberhaft. Chef ist ein ganz lieber Vollblut Gastronom. Kann das Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen. Weiter so ans Antebia Team
Ali Bey was outstandingly cheerful waiter/owner of this lovely restaurant. The place looks small but it is actually a three-floor restaurant which is run successfully by his crew and his family. Menu is populated by Turkish cuisine and served fresh. Even some supplies brought from Turkey.
I had the tabouli salad and hummus with flat bread. The flavors and quality were very good. I would expect that other items on the menu are as flavorful. The restaurant staff were friendly. I was at a table outside, so I don't know what the restaurant is like inside.
