Cafe Restaurant zum Fursten

Visited with a family of four and could sit outside under the awning. It was a perfect day so it was perfect for an al fresco brunch. The food was good. Very recommend the vital toast (dink grill cheese with vegetables) and ham...and cheese toast w/fried egg (Egg was perfectly cooked). The Margherita Pizza looked good, but the taste was best average. Only problems were that the breakfast menu was only in German (the lunch and dinner menu in German and English) and we ordered toast that never came but did not see that it was on the bill until after payment. The answer of the staff when we brought it to their attention was that they were sad, but had no way to fix the situation.

Wandering through Melk’s old town is a pleasant experience, and a change of pace from visiting the Abbey. Quaint shops, cafes and cobblestoned pavements are part of the attraction. We enjoyed coffee at this cafe seeing under their awning shade, watching the world go by....The coffee and service were very good. Thanks for your vote.

Dined here while in Melk, a wet cold day made our waitress amazing by some excellent service from Antonia. Out came the wonderful vegetable strudel with white sauce. Tha foods are cheap, a variety of traditional foods from the region and prices fair. But of course... everything about food delivery thanks to Antonia.

A typical café restaurant in a cute village. I had the vegetable strudel. Not that much flavour but more than enough to get stuffed. The pizza looked good! And friendly staff

Great cafe, English speaking waitress. Good food. Nice to sit in the shade with a lovely breeze. Opposite the Town hall with a small fountain.
