This was one of the real highlights of a recent work visit to Catalunya. The location, in an industrial estate, does not suggest culinary excellence, but this is really worth a detour. We were lucky to visit in early Autumn and to be presented with the mushroom menu. Our various starters were all delicious. My main was a rump steak sliced and filled with mushroom, and topped with a crunchy, nutty boletus. The service was superb, and the head waiter's description of the specials menu, in absolutely perfect English, had me salivating from the outset. The restaurant is off the beaten track, but is definitely worth a special trip.
This is a great restaurant to enjoy some Catalan specialties, in particular those related with green products of the Llobregat Delta, for instance, artichokes. Additionally, the service is great I went there for the first time with a colleague, who lived nearby. During spring they have a menu of different dishes including artichokes, so I asked the noodles with monk fish and artichokes; it was excellent. As entrance, we shared the small scallions and the truffle/foie carpaccio, both great. They also have a very complete wine list. The only drawback is that the restaurant cannot be easily reached without having a car.
Excellent food. Good presentation. Desserts are highly recommended. A little bit expensive but keeping in mind the quality it is correct . Try the Montsant wines. I will back. Excelente comida. Try going into a restaraunt someday and telling the Waiter you can't have gluten or lactose AND you don't like fish! Not only was the waiter super friendly and helpful but the chef came up with an amazing off menu meal for me. This restaraunt is a winner in my book. Super service. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. I couldn't ask for more!
