Here's another example of the poor service epidemic abounding at restaurants. Food in itself was ok. The usual expected taste and quality however, I placed a to go order, which required me to drive to Cam's during our lunch time to get sandwiches for our office, and discover that 2 items were missing. My co-worker asked for the Cam sauce on the side for their ham sandwich. The order was even written on the bag that the food was in when I picked it up. The side of sauce was missing. I drove back from Lavalette to get the missing sauce. I was not offered compensation for their error, not that I wanted it, but our office (five of us) gave Cams our business and the service was not reciprocated. It'll be awhile before Cams gets my business again.
First experience at Cam's was a great one. Was like stepping back in time. Great reasonable prices. The Cam's Ham Sandwich could be the best sandwich in the state. The roast beef was good but not what I expected. It was in a gravy which added a great flavor. For sides we got the homemade hand dipped onion rings and fries. Only complaint is that the fries and onion rings weren't seasoned. If they would have been I would have clicked five stars in a heart beat. Excellentservice!!! Was quick and very friendly. Also, sweet tea is a great choice.
This is our first time to try Cam?s Ham! Everything we had was great. The Ham sandwich, Fish sandwich and chicken sandwich were all excellent, fries were very good as well. Everything came out hot and fast and very friendly service. Definitely a must try if you are in Huntington?we will absolutely be back!
The ham is great! Nice little home town spot. The environment was classic and filled with old coke memorabilia and pictures of old movie stars and singers. Definitely been there for a long time.
