Really hope that we went on an off night. Atmosphere is set up for a fun time. Food was not good. Got the churrasco it was tough and hard to cut and chew. My companion got the Bistec Encabollado. It looked the exact as my plate and it was hard to cut andchew as well. My wife had the Pollo alla Parilla. It was both chewy and hard. We thought it was undercooked. Sent it back. Cameback the same way. Wife took 2 bites in total. One before she sent it back. Another when it hit the table again. No one came byto apologize about the chicken and the server didn't seem to know what to do. We paid our tab and left disappointed with a badtaste in our mouths. Literally. It's a shame because there are so many amazing Columbian restaurants in the area. We thoughtthis would be amazing too. We were wrong. Just hit the drink menu and dance. The apps were good. Probably, because they don'tactually make the empanadas there. Good luck.
After recieving enthusiastic recommendations, we decided to host our Local Cousins Night Out at Capachos Bar&Grill. What we found was a small, but well appointed restaurant with a serviceable dance floor. The menu offered a delectable assortment ofColombian specialties. The service, though courteous, was slow and sometimes disorganized, the food, however, was worth thewait. Absolutely delicious! The DJ begins pulsating the Latin music at 10:00 pm, mixing a tantalizing variety of salsa,merengue, bachata and more. If your searching for a place to dance the night away to the scintillating beats of Latin rhythms,this is the place to come. They don 't close until 2:00 am on weekends.
Today my family and I went for lunch but wished we would've went a different direction. While the waitress was very kind she was alone which caused delay. We ordered a few empanadas and they came out half frozen. Things happen so we let the waitressknow and they were taken back. Fresh ones were brought out and again frozen. At this point we decided to leave and were stillcharged for frozen empanadas. Hopefully the next time around will be better if I decide to go back.
Don't. Go. Hungry. You will definitely have to wait an HOUR or two. We did..and that's with a half full house (see pics). That's unacceptable. If you're planning to eat, avoid going with a group at all costs. The food by the way? Just ok. Certainly notworth the wait; but if you're going for good music to dance to you won't be disappointed. Just make sure you've eaten a goodmeal before you get there.
