My wife and I were here for a late lunch on Sunday. We had never been to his restaurant before but had driven by it many times. It's part of the Charleswood Village area.We're seniors in our 60's and appreciate peaceful surroundings. We were quite pleased with the ambience. The place was tastefully decorated, the chairs and booths were comfortable, the lighting was not obtrusive and the music was pleasant.Our server was very professional and not at all in your face. The food was delivered in a reasonable amount of time.The food tasted delicious. My wife had the short rib and cheese sandwich with caesar salad. She loved the sandwich; the caesar was pretty bland but OK. I had the Angus burger and was surprised by the delicate flavours and taste. The fries were fine but were coated in a spice blend that must have had MSG in it. I bloated up about 30 mins after eating. I enjoyed the local beer on tap. My wife thought the coffee was very smooth. We both enjoyed the lemon tart for dessert.Be warned that the lunch cost us $53 plus tip.

We had a stopover in Winnipeg on our way to visit friends and were looking for a place for a nice dinner. We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to try it. What a treat. My wife had the bucatini pasta dish and I had the salmon. The flavors of the seasonings (herbs, etc.) used are very light and not overpowering. They were both excellent. And we topped off with a great dessert. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. I would definitely go there again if every in Winnipeg another time.
