Cappy's - Tisch reservieren

The service was excellent. Bri, waited our table and she was superb. So superb, we did not comment on the meal truthfully. FYI, bring your own steak sauce. The presentation was very nice. The Market Salad was fantastic. The Wedge Salad was terrible. The blue cheese dressing tasted like watery cottage cheese and the vinaigrette was like soy sauce. I could not even eat half. Both of our cuts of meat were very rare and not to order. I requested medium rare but it was well seared and the other cut was also rare when we requested medium. Over the experience was pleasant but I found the food to be pricey for what we were served and the lack of preparation in what we expected to be a fine dining experience by all accounts. A friend and I had a lunch date at Cappy's, and I must say, reservations are a must they are always bustling! We began with a glass of wine, specifically a Cote du Rhone and a Tito's and cranberry juice cocktail. The portions were quite satisfying. For starters, we chose a wedge salad, which turned out to be generously sized with crisp, fresh lettuce. My friend went for the shrimp salad. To conclude our meal, we opted for the coconut pie. While it looked tempting, it unfortunately fell short in terms of flavor; it was overly dense and dry. Personally, I prefer a creamier, custard like consistency, which this dessert didn't quite offer. In fact, we didn't finish it because it didn't meet our expectations. On a positive note, the salads were absolutely delicious.

This was the first restaurant we tried in San Antonio and the experience was great, especially thanks to our server Naomi V. She was super welcoming, gave us great information for our trip and awesome suggestions for menu choices- we really liked the Pozole, Sticky Toffee Pudding, and Broadway Toddy. The vibe is really anything you want it to be... we went as tourists for a family meal, it could be a good place for a date (especially after checking out the Mcnair Museum), happy hour, a meal with friends, coworkers, a celebration- very universal while still feeling unique .
